 From San Francisco Airport (SFO): Exit the airport and take 380 San Bruno to 280 North. This takes you through the outskirts of SF rather than through downtown. Follow signs north on 19th Avenue to the Golden Gate bridge. Continue north across GG bridge. You are now on HWY 101. Continue to HWY 37 East towards Napa/Sonoma, to HWY 121 still towards Napa/Sonoma. You will pass south of the town of Sonoma. Continuing towards Napa, HWY 121 hits HWY 29. Turn left (north) on HWY 29. Go north through Napa to St Helena and turn left at the 3rd traffic light on Madrona. Go 3 blocks then turn right on Spring Mountain Rd. After 5.2 miles, you'll see a group of mail boxes including #4016 (you will have passed #s 4015 & 4017). Turn right into the private drive; stay to the left. The first house on the left is the Mille Vigne Main House. The Villa is 100 feet further up on the left. From Sacramento: Take HWY 80 West towards San Francisco. Exit at HWY 12 towards Napa. Hwy 12 joins with HWY 29 North. Follow HWY 29 north through Napa (HWY 12 breaks off a few miles below Napa) and continue about 25 miles to St Helena. Turn left at the 3rd traffic light on Madrona. Go 3 blocks then turn right on Spring Mountain Rd. After 5.2 miles, you'll see a group of mail boxes including #4016 (you will have passed #s 4015 & 4017). Turn right into the private drive; stay to the left. The first house on the left is the Mille Vigne Main House. The Villa is 100 feet further up on the left. From Sonoma County Airport, Santa Rosa: From the airport get on HWY 101 South. Take the downtown Santa Rosa exit and turn left on Fourth Street heading East. Stay on Fourth street and it will become HWY 12 towards Sonoma. Continue about 2 miles on HWY 12 then turn left on Calistoga Rd towards Calistoga. After about 3 miles, turn right on St Helen a Rd. ONce on St Helen Rd it is 6.7 miles of beautiful but winding country road to the top of Spring Mountain. The house numbers will be climbing into the 9000 range until the country line, at which point you will see on your left, a group of mail boxes with 4000 numbers (ours is 4016). Turn left into the private drive; stay to the left. The first house on the left is the Mille Vigne Main House. The Villa is 100 feet further up on the left. |
